A LESSON PLAN FOR ELEMENTARY SCIENCE III

 

I.                  Objectives

At the end of the discussion, the children will be able to:

·         Infer that our sense organs make us aware of things around us

·         Observe the parts of the sense organs from models and explain how they work

·         Practice desirable health habits that will help prevent/control common ailments and help remain the senses healthy

 

II.               Subject Matter

Topic: Some Organs and their Senses

Reference: Reading in Science 3, pp.1-8

Materials: pictures, perfume, rotted mango, stone, apple, chocolate shake, ampalaya shake,    MP3 player and whistle

 

III.           Procedure

1.       Simple prayer

2.      Checking of attendance

3.      Gaining attention

4.      Stimulating recall of the previous lesson

5.      Presentation of the new lesson

6.      Activity

7.      Drill and discussion

8.      Practice test

9.      Generalization

 

IV.             Evaluation

Write “T” if the statement is TRUE and “F” if the statement is FALSE.

Place it in a one-half sheet of paper.

1.       We use our ears to see things surrounding us.

2.      Our tongue helps us to talk, taste and eat foods.

3.      We use our nose for breathing and smelling.

4.      With our ears, we can listen to music.

5.      Our skin is not for feeling objects.

Draw 3-5 kinds of animals. Place it in your notebook.
